Must Go and do Culture and Sensitivity

Remember: 7 days; 10 days; 14 days; 2 months

W=1/2 hr to 4 hrs= Waviness of fibers

C=4hrs to 12 hrs= Coagulation necrosis begins

E= 4hrs to 12 hrs= Edema seen

P= 12 to 24 hrs = Pyknosis of nuclei, Progression of coagulation necrosis

N=12 to 24 hours= Neutrophils

L=1-3 days= Loss of nuclei

M= 3-7 days= Macrophages at infarct border begins phagocytosis of dead cells

G= 7-10 days= Granulation tissue forms at margins

C=10-14 days = Colour -red gray depressed infarct border

S= >2 months =Scar, dense collagenous scar
